Tour Divisions

Beach Tour Divisions

Our divisions are not exclusively age or gender based, although they will follow this traditional arrangement for the most part, as we seek to create the best competition experience for all our athletes in grouping divisions by a combination of skill, experience, level of competitiveness, age, and gender. Note also that VOGO reserves the right to move athletes into the division which our coaches feel would best support the development of the team and their competitors in that event. Your age group matches the age division you would have played club/school volleyball.

Adult Division

Age Groups: 19u+

Youth teams are not allowed to register for Adult divisions without permission from VOGO's Academy Director, Andrew Nelson (andrew@vogovolleyball.ca).

Division A

Age Groups: 19u, 18u, 17u
(Experienced 16u* seeking a challenge)

*Please discuss with your partner(s) which division you believe fits best for your team.

Division B

Tier 1

Age Groups*: 16u, 15u

Tier 2

Age Groups*: 14u, Experienced 13u

*VOGO coaches and tournament organizers will place athletes in either tier 1 or tier 2 based on age. If you feel strongly about playing in a tier that does not match your age, reach out to andrew@vogovolleyball.ca and we will accommodate as best we can.

Division C

Age Groups: Inexperienced 13u, 12u
(Coach Controlled Gameplay)

The gameplay in this division will be adapted to suit the needs of young developing players. Games are played in triple ball style of "Serve, Freeball, Freeball". If you would like more information check out the Division C section of the Beach Volleyball Rule Differences below.
